We provide an inclusive service, ensuring accessibility for all. Our approach to this includes, but is not limited to:

Offering support in a number of ways: in person, over the phone, video call and digitally – enabling you to access support the best way for you.

Adapting our availability: we understand that it may be difficult for you to engage with us in our opening hours due to your own availability (i.e. your working hours) – we will be flexible in when/ how we can support you.

Meeting communication needs: we have access to an interpreter service (of over 500 languages, including British Sign Language) and are able to provide information in a variety of formats (i.e. different languages/ large text).

Meeting cultural needs: we understand that cultural needs could contribute to your risk or your ability to access support i.e. it might be easier, or equally it might be a barrier for you to access support from a support worker who is from the same/ similar community as you – our staff team all have varied backgrounds, we can allocate a support worker to suit your needs. Your cultural needs will form part of your support plan.

Providing adaptable spaces and resources: where you have mobility needs, we will ensure adaptable spaces are available for your attendance in support. FAQ’s

Do I have to leave my partner to get help? No. You can access support at any stage of the relationship. Will my children be taken away? We work to support you as a parent. Children are only removed by Children’s Services if they are in danger and no other protective steps can be taken. What if I don’t want the police involved? We will never force you to contact the police. That decision is always yours—unless someone is at immediate risk. Can I access help if I’m not a UK citizen? Yes. We support people regardless of immigration status and can refer you to legal support if needed. What if I know someone who works for the service? You can ask to speak to a manager or can email info@p-a-c.org.uk. Please let us know the details of who it is you know and we can arrange for your support and case notes to be restricted.

What if I want to access support but don’t want to give my personal information? That’s ok. You can access support anonymously through our live chat or helpline. You do not need to share your personal data with us in exchange for support, however your support options may be more limited.

Final Note.

You are not alone. Support is available. Healing takes time, and we’re here to walk alongside you—without pressure, judgment, or expectation.

You deserve safety, respect, and a future free from abuse.
