BE FREE (Support for Children & Young People) (formerly known as The Lookout) is Pendle’s specialist support provision for young victims of domestic and sexual abuse.

We support children and young people aged 4 – 18 years old who have been subject to domestic and sexual abuse within their family or relationship, directly or indirectly from a family member, partner or former partner.

BE FREE (Support for Children & Young People) provides a varied programme of support tailored to children and young people’s ages and individual needs. Support is directed by children and is delivered at their own pace. We offer one to one support, group support, youth club provision and fun activities.

We provide support for children and young people living in who have experienced or witnessed domestic abuse. We understand that as a parent you want to protect your child from harm, and that children are often affected by domestic abuse happening within the home, even if they are not being physically harmed.

Violence and Abuse can happen to anybody. There are many different types of abuse and Domestic Abuse can happen to anybody. Remember, it is not your fault, and if Domestic Abuse is happening in your family, we can help you!

CHILDREN

BE FREE (Support for Children & Young People)  helps children who are upset because things are happening at home which makes them feel scared or anxious, because one parent hurts the other. We also help children who have experienced this previously, even if it has now stopped.
