BE FREE (Support for Adults)
Domestic Abuse can involve the use of different types of violence and abuse to gain power and control over a partner, former partner or family member. Domestic Abuse can have harmful and lasting effects on the victim and on any witnesses, especially children.
BE FREE (formerly known as PDVI) provides a range of specialist support for adults in Pendle and Rossendale affected by domestic abuse. Our community services include; a confidential helpline that can be accessed by people affected by domestic abuse and those who are worried about them, tailored one to one support to improve personal safety and address the impact of trauma, specialist family support for victims who are parents, help to seek legal advice and protection, support in attending court, group support, and much more.
BE FREE also provides emergency and temporary accommodation for families escaping domestic abuse. In addition to the BE FREE community services, we can provide safe and supported accommodation, offer a programme of recovery support and provide resettlement packages.
Our Specialised Teams offer a range of services to help support those affected by Domestic Abuse.
